Sunday, September 7, 2025: A Morning at 'meal' Bakery
The day began with a visit to the 'meal' bakery, a new establishment on the first basement floor (B1) of the Lotte Department Store Jamsil Branch. This bakery has replaced 'Owolui Jong'. The author is a regular patron of 'meal', having visited other branches in Samsung Station (Hyundai Department Store) and Jukjeon (Shinsegae South City), where they frequently purchase red bean bread and sweet red bean bread. The Jamsil branch stood out due to its significantly larger size and the extensive variety of baked goods available. 'meal' operates as a to-go establishment.

The bakery officially opens its doors at 10:30 AM.

The bakery's name is displayed in English as 'meal' and in Korean as '밀도'. Its slogan translates to "The temperature at which bread is delicious."

Inside, a central, linear display counter showcases the baked goods, with additional display shelves located at the back of the store.

Purchased Items and Taste Reviews
Several items were purchased during the visit:

The Salt Bread is noted for its rich, buttery flavor and chewy texture. The Potato Ciabatta is described as wholesome and not too heavy, making it a suitable option for breakfast.

The Morning Rolls from 'meal' are exceptionally soft and perfectly seasoned, to the point where they don't require any jam or spread.

The Pudding was purchased again due to its good flavor, although the author's son, Uljaewon, found it to have an unusual "herbal" scent.

In summary, all the items purchased were found to be widely appealing and delicious. The bakery is particularly renowned for its bread, especially its mini loaves. While the author's personal favorite, the mini red bean bread, was unavailable, they noted that the bread selection can vary between different branches.
