Yongin Large Cafe: Cafe D (CAFE THEE) – Furniture Showroom & Kim Young Mo Bakery

Chinese (Simplified) English French German Japanese Spanish Vietnamese Korean

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, I visited ‘Cafe D(CAFE THEE)’ located in Dongbaek, Yongin. After dropping off my son for his early morning training, I was looking for a place to have coffee and found a cafe with a great view that opens at 9:30 AM, so I decided to visit.

Review of Cafe D

I visited right at the opening time of 9:30 AM, so my husband and I were the first customers. The access road to the cafe is a bit narrow and requires passing through two small tunnels, so caution is needed while driving, but it was convenient as there was ample parking.

Collaboration with Kim Young-mo Bakery

It was impressive that Cafe D collaborates with Kim Young-mo Bakery, our family’s regular bakery. Thanks to this, we could look forward to fresh and delicious bread.

Beautiful Outdoor Terrace and Fountain

The cafe’s outdoor terrace was beautifully decorated, and a small fountain spouting cool water added to the pleasant atmosphere.

Various Bakery Showcases

Arriving at 9:32 AM, I looked around the bread display. A variety of breads were available, including butter rolls, scones, salt bread, red bean paste bread, financiers, soboro, red bean buns, chocolate baguettes, condensed milk baguettes, Mont Blanc, and cookies. As time passed, the display became even more abundant.

1st Floor: Imoiga Furniture Showroom

The first floor of the cafe was decorated as a showroom for ‘Imoiga Furniture’. Handmade furniture with aesthetically pleasing designs, rather than mass-produced items, were displayed, and there were particularly many beautiful mirrors. Most of the later customers sat on the outdoor terrace, and since the cafe is located on a slightly elevated ground, they could enjoy the cool natural breeze.

2nd and 3rd Floor Spaces

I went up to the second floor via a spiral staircase. There were two small rooms on the second floor that operated on a reservation basis.

The third floor was divided into two spaces and had a good view. I visited early in the morning, so there were no customers yet, and the air conditioning was not on.

Ordered Menu and Taste Evaluation

Since I didn’t drink coffee at home before visiting, I ordered a caffe latte, not decaf. The latte had a deep body, was dark roasted, and had a slight acidity. For the americano, I chose a bean with no acidity. When I wrote a review on Naver, I received rusk as a service, which was crispy, sweet, and delicious.

Satisfaction with the Bread

The soboro here had a lot of topping spread on top, which my two sons loved very much. Before moving to Pangyo, when I lived in Dongbaek, I was disappointed that the soboro was sold out in the afternoon at Kim Young-mo Panettri, so I couldn’t buy it. I regretted not buying more here out of sheer joy.

The red bean bun had a thin crust and was filled with plenty of red bean paste, making it delicious. I ate one, and gave one to my mother-in-law. I was truly satisfied.

Dongbaek district, which I visited again after 13 years, had changed remarkably. If you live near Dongbaek, I recommend visiting Cafe D. It’s a place where you can enjoy delicious bread and coffee in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere for healing. I wish all my neighbors good health!
