The start of the third day was smooth with breakfast at the resort, but an unexpected situation arose when the pickup for the reserved daily tour caused the plan to go awry. After communication with the travel agency, we found ourselves in a situation where the original tour was not possible and an alternative tour had to be arranged, leaving us with a sense of regret due to the change in travel time and itinerary.
Ultimately, the tour was changed from the originally planned Tour 4 to Tour 3, a snorkeling & island tour. Although there was disappointment about not being able to ride the world’s longest cable car, we participated in the southern 3-island tour of Phú Quốc and enjoyed snorkeling and island exploration. We snorkeled upon arriving at the island, but the water was not clear, so we did not achieve the expected level of satisfaction. There was also mention of the snorkeling environment being disappointing compared to Boracay or Bohol.
It rained while we were having lunch on the boat, but fortunately, it stopped soon after. The enjoyable conversation with the Korean companions we shared the meal with became another pleasure of the trip. The lunch menu included stir-fried squid and vegetables, grilled shrimp, and braised fish, with the watermelon served for dessert being the most delicious, according to the review. On the last island, Hon May Rut, we enjoyed the beach, took photos, and drank coconut ice cream. The shower room cost 20,000 VND separately.
On the way back to the accommodation after the tour, we visited the Teddy Bear Museum and Wales Spa. We were particularly satisfied with the refreshing massage provided by the masseuse. For dinner, we stopped at a local noodle shop to try the local pho, but left an honest review stating that we didn’t feel much difference from the breakfast pho. The day concluded by watching the Venice Show at Grand World Phu Quoc and enjoying the spectacular night view.
