Barangshe Guesthouse in Seongsan, Jeju: Review of Small Parties and Comfortable Stay
Jeju Province Seogwipo Seongsan-eup Jeju Province Seogwipo Located at 496 Hwanhaejangseong-ro, Jeju Province, Barangshe Guesthouse offers a special experience during your Jeju trip. It’s perfect for travelers who prefer cozy and fun small parties over crowded large ones. I visited this place upon a friend’s recommendation. It’s convenient as they offer pickup service from nearby bus stops if you contact them in advance.

Spacious and Pleasant Rooms and Facilities
The 6-bed dormitory room, after receiving the room key from the 1st-floor counter, was much more spacious than I expected. When I visited, I was the only guest, so I could stay there even more comfortably. The bathroom, located right next to the room entrance, was also spacious and clean, and the hot water worked well, which was satisfactory.

Each bed is equipped with pillows, blankets, and towels. It felt a bit chilly in the room because it was winter, but I was able to stay warm by requesting an electric blanket from the staff. If you tend to feel cold, I recommend asking for one without hesitation.

The women’s room had a full-length mirror and a vanity mirror, which showed thoughtful consideration. However, there was only one hairdryer available, so there might be a slight wait if multiple people need to use it.

The Unmissable Barangshe Guesthouse Party
The highlight of Barangshe Guesthouse is undoubtedly the party. The first round of the party features a generous barbecue and fresh spiny lobster. The black pork barbecue was exceptionally delicious, exceeding expectations, and the spiny lobster, which I tried for the first time, was fresh without any fishy taste, leaving a deep impression. Even though I didn’t have high expectations for the party food, it was the best among all the guesthouse party foods I’ve experienced so far.

The second round of the party follows the first. For the second round, lighter menu items are provided, such as shaved ice, bananas, snacks, and marshmallows that you can roast yourself. Thanks to the additional snacks ordered by other guests, we had an even richer time.

The owner and staff of Barangshe Guesthouse were very friendly and cheerful, maintaining a pleasant atmosphere throughout the party. The fact that it was a small party, just as I had hoped, was also a great source of satisfaction. The party, with about 15 people, was not overwhelming and was thoroughly enjoyable. I highly recommend it to introverted individuals who find crowded parties burdensome.

The next morning, I concluded my special memories in Jeju while enjoying the beautiful ocean view.
