Jamsil Seokchon Lake Outing: A Review of the Restaurant Pangyo and Cafe ‘Eonni Coffee’

Planning a delightful outing near Seoul Songpa District Jamsil Seokchon Lake? If you love noodle dishes, we recommend Pangyo, and if you’d like to enjoy sweet desserts and coffee, ‘Eonni Coffee’ is the place. In this post, we share our experience visiting these two charming spots.

A Feast of Spicy Noodle Dishes at Fusion Chinese Restaurant Pangyo

Pangyo is a fusion Chinese restaurant located at 103-104, 27, Baekjegobun-ro 41-gil, Seoul Special City Songpa District. Their business hours are from 11:30 to 23:00, with a break time from 15:00 to 17:00, and the last order is at 21:50. They are closed every Sunday, so please keep this in mind when visiting. We visited Pangyo craving noodles during our Seokchon Lake outing. Fortunately, the wait wasn’t long, and we were seated in about 10 minutes. It’s also possible to join the waiting list in advance via Catch Table.

The interior seemed cozy, but there were more tables than expected. However, the spacing between tables might feel a bit narrow. The restroom is located outside the establishment.

Once seated, water, side plates, and basic banchan (side dishes) are provided. You can conveniently place your order through the QR code on the table. We ordered the Yupo Noodles and Chili Shrimp.

The Earl Grey Highball we ordered was a perfect match for the rich Yupo Noodles. The highball helped cut through the greasiness of the noodles, which was great. While the Yupo Noodles were to my liking, I wished they were a bit spicier. There was more oil than expected, but the combination with the Chili Shrimp was excellent. The Chili Shrimp, with its spicy, sour, and sweet flavors, had a satisfying chewiness thanks to the plump shrimp, and the portion size was generous.

A Sweet Dessert Haven, Cafe ‘Eonni Coffee’

Eonni Coffee is a charming cafe located at 5-1, Songpa-daero 48-gil, Seoul Special City Songpa District. Their business hours are from 12:00 to 20:00, with the last order at 19:30. They are closed on Mondays, so please check before visiting. (📞070-4910-3687)

This place is particularly famous for its delicious banana pudding, which is why we decided to visit. Unfortunately, just before we arrived, the banana pudding sold out to the previous customer, which was quite disappointing. Although very sad, we ordered the Basque cheesecake instead.

Perhaps seeing my dejected face after missing out on the banana pudding, the owner kindly gave us an extra cookie as a service. I think I might have been a bit tipsy from the highball that day. (This never happens usually!)

The coffee had a cute sticker indicating whether it was decaffeinated. Both the Basque cheesecake and the cookies were delicious. ^_^

The restroom inside the cafe was nicely decorated and clean, which was a plus. If you’re looking for a date spot or an outing location in Jamsil, be sure to visit Pangyo and ‘Eonni Coffee’. We intend to revisit Pangyo, and for ‘Eonni Coffee’, we plan to visit early next time to try the banana pudding!
