We decided on eel grilled over rice at Donggyeong Bapsang for our last meal in Jeju.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_2_900_20260327_133724.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>Donggyeong Bapsang is a restaurant that offers Unaju (eel over rice), its signature dish, prepared in a traditional Tokyo style. We carefully prepare each meal using the finest domestic Japonica eel.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_3_900_Screenshot_20260420_112056_NAVER.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_4_900_Screenshot_20260420_112146_NAVER.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p><b>Opens at 11:30 AM<\/b> (No break time)<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_5_900_20260327_133741.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>There were 16 teams waiting in line via Catch Table inside the store.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_6_1776653371877.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>3 consecutive years of Michelin Guide \u2606<\/p>\n<p><b>[Waiting Area]<\/b><\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_7_900_20260327_145516.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_8_900_20260327_133845.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>The waiting area was spacious, and the view from the window was beautiful, so some people waited inside. However, my husband and I asked a staff member about the waiting time. After being told it would take about 1 hour and 30 minutes, we headed to a bakery called [Butter Morning], which was a 15-minute drive away.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_9_900_20260327_134003.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_10_900_20260327_135321.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_11_900_20260327_135327.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_12_900_20260327_135355.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_13_900_20260327_135357.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>We were disappointed to find out that the bread, which looked like &#8216;condensed milk bread,&#8217; was so popular that it could only be purchased by reservation, so we made a wasted trip. On our way back to Donggyeong Bapsang, the number of waiting teams had decreased significantly, and it was our turn. We called the store and requested a 5-minute postponement.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_14_1776686634323.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_15_900_20260327_145417.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_16_900_20260327_145419.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>We took off our shoes before entering. Rice is very important for rice bowls.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_24_900_20260327_140904.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_25_900_20260327_141031.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>The neatly presented side dishes included grilled seaweed, two types of pickled ginger, pickled radish, white kimchi, and a salad for each person.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_26_1776686842875.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>Although the backlighting was unfortunate, we took commemorative photos while waiting for the eel over rice.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_27_900_20260327_141217.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>The open design offered a sense of spaciousness.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_28_900_20260327_142136.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>After 10 minutes, the eel over rice and miso soup were served.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_29_1776687086479.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>The eel grilled over rice, filling a square bento box, was served with a bowl of white miso soup containing seaweed.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_30_900_20260327_142149.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_31_900_20260327_142159_05.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>While some may prefer to enjoy the pure flavor of the eel,<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_32_900_20260327_142109.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_33_900_20260327_142319.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>I enjoy eating it wrapped in seaweed. The eel was thick and tender, and the rice was also excellent. It was truly delicious.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_34_900_20260327_142841.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Ochazuke<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_35_900_20260327_142859.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>We slurped up the remaining rice. It was made with katsuobushi, not green tea, which made it taste great.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_36_900_20260327_144448.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>A pudding was served as dessert, and it was delicious.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_37_900_20260327_142126.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_38_900_20260327_145453.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>We left feeling full. The selection of restaurants on this trip was a success without any failures, allowing us to truly enjoy a culinary journey.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_39_900_20260327_145803.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/linksboo.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/linkboo_11508_40_900_B612_20260327_145920_517.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>After finishing our meal, we sat on the veranda of Donggyeong Bapsang and enjoyed &#8220;ocean gazing&#8221; while looking at the Aewol sea, taking many photos. Everything was satisfactory: the food, the atmosphere, the service, and the healing view.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to enjoy a nourishing meal in Aewol, we recommend visiting Donggyeong Bapsang.
