Yongin Gogi-ri<\/a> Valley View Restaurant Danilmok Visit Review<\/h2>\n

Gyeonggi Province<\/a> Yongin<\/a> Suji-gu<\/a> Located at 117-1, Jongmu-ro, Danilmok is a Baek\uc219 (boiled chicken) restaurant boasting a refreshing valley view. On a sweltering summer day, the area from the entrance of Gogi-ri<\/a> was crowded with many cars, but we visited Danilmok for a delicious meal. The operating hours are from 10 AM to 8 PM daily, and reservations and inquiries can be made at 0507-1347-1711.<\/p>\n

Although parking is available in front of and next to the restaurant, it is not spacious, so using the nearby public parking lot might be more convenient. Danilmok feels more spacious outdoors than indoors, and many customers seemed to prefer the outdoor seating. We also took our seats in the outdoor area, which we had reserved in advance.<\/p>\n

The biggest reason for visiting Danilmok is the beautiful valley view. We were a bit disappointed that there wasn’t much water as it hadn’t rained recently, but the open scenery was still charming.<\/p>\n

Generous Menu: Baek\uc219 and Spicy Duck Stir-fry<\/h3>\n

Since there were six of us, we ordered chicken Baek\uc219 along with spicy duck stir-fry. I tend to prefer grilled meat, so I had high expectations for the spicy duck stir-fry.<\/p>\n

The side dishes included a generous spread of salad, donggeurangttaeng (pork and tofu patties), and pickled garlic. Although we couldn’t capture all of them in the photo, the neat and flavorful side dishes added to the enjoyment of the meal.<\/p>\n

Tender Chicken Baek\uc219 and Flavorful Spicy Duck Stir-fry<\/h4>\n

Thanks to our reservation, we didn’t have to wait long to taste the chicken Baek\uc219. The clear, milky broth was impressive, unlike a thick soup, and it didn’t have a strong herbal scent, making it easy to enjoy. Adding plenty of chives to the broth as it simmered deepened the flavor. The chicken meat was very tender, easily separating from the bones, making it easy to eat.<\/p>\n

The spicy duck stir-fry was rich in flavor with plenty of enoki mushrooms and chives. It tasted even better because it had been a while since I last had spicy duck stir-fry, but it was a shame I couldn’t eat much due to drinking the night before. Having to cook it ourselves on the grill was a bit of a hassle, but it was well worth it for such delicious food.<\/p>\n

With such delicious food, makgeolli (rice wine) was a must. It made the meal even more enjoyable, serving as both a side dish and a hangover cure.<\/p>\n

Conclusion: Kalguksu and Juk<\/h3>\n

After finishing the Baek\uc219, we concluded our meal with the accompanying kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) and juk (porridge). The kalguksu noodles seemed slightly undercooked even after simmering for a long time, which was a bit disappointing, but the juk was savory and filling, providing a satisfying end to the meal. It reaffirmed that Koreans truly run on rice.<\/p>\n
