Seongdong District Cafe exudes an unusual atmosphere from its exterior. The red brick exterior and lack of a sign make it easy to pass by, but the bread poster serves as a hint. The interior stands out with its chic and sophisticated design, centered around black, and a single tree visible through the large window adds coziness to the space.
On the first floor, there is a bakery showcase, and the visual of the eclairs is particularly impressive. A variety of desserts are available, including a pastry-style salted bread that differs from the usual, and vanilla/matcha flans. The visitor ordered one vanilla flan and an Americano, and a decaffeinated cafe latte, with particular praise for the Americano.
The second floor has a duplex structure with a black L-shaped long sofa and a chandelier, connected to the first floor. There is a 6-person space called the ‘Secret Room,’ which can be used privately with deep purple theater curtains. Additionally, moving towards the balcony on the second floor leads to a unique space called ‘Mute Space,’ which allows entry for one team at a time and creates a mystical atmosphere with indirect lighting.
The listening room on the third floor is the highlight of Seongdong District Cafe. Equipped with a Dolby sound system, you can listen to your desired music here. Visitors requested and listened to Josh Groban’s ‘You Raise Me Up’ and Jeonramhoe’s Kim Dong-ryul’s ‘Memory of My Youth.’ In particular, ‘Memory of My Youth’ evoked deep emotion, recalling memories from the 20s at the music listening room ‘Mu-ah’ in Nampo-dong, Busan. The rooftop on the fourth floor is a luxurious space with a living room and bar kitchen, and the intimate outdoor space is also charming.
