so
after giving him breakfast,
I told my husband,
“Let’s go on a trip to Seoul too.”
“Where?”
he asked.
I replied,
“Is it as sweet as honey?”

On Instagram,
I saw a post introducing a listening room
on the 3rd floor of the cafe,
and that during the soft opening,
you could get 30 minutes of free listening
with cafe use.

After a delicious lunch
at Neungdong Minari
(15-minute wait)
We revisited Blue Elephant
to browse glasses for a bit,
then
visited Seongsu Yul
for coffee.
The entrance
was already impressive.
However,
from the outside,
it has a red brick exterior
and no sign,
so I thought
people might not know it’s a cafe.
Still,
there’s a bread poster
that could serve as a hint.
The interior
exudes a chic black vibe.
A single tree visible
through the floor-to-ceiling window.

one Vanilla Flan,
an Americano (nutty flavor),
and a decaf cafe latte.
The space has different levels.
In person…
it’s a bit darker
and the atmosphere is quiet,
giving a calm feeling.

connected from the 1st floor.

Inside,
a semi-transparent panel wall.

Seats 6 people.
There are theater-style crimson curtains,
so you can close them
when it’s in use.
The coffee and dessert I ordered.
My husband
raved about the Americano
multiple times, saying it was
sooooo delicious ♡
Over 100% satisfied.
Uses Guatemalan beans with a nutty flavor,
blended with two others
(medium-dark roast).
Decaf Cafe Latte
has a rich body
and a dark roast.
Slight acidity
at the end.
No nutty flavor,
so I was 92% satisfied.
Vanilla Flan
Near Hongdae Sangsu Station,
there’s a famous
‘Flan Specialty Shop’,
and the visuals were completely different
from that place.

Cut into 3 large pieces.
Inside,
it’s filled with moist custard vanilla cream.
Crispy outside, moist inside.
The outside is flaky
with visible layers,
and the vanilla cream
is a bit sweet.
It’s torched on top,
preserving the vanilla aroma.
I wanted to try other desserts too.

From the outside,
it looks like a long chimney.
Moving from the 2nd floor to the balcony
connects directly to it.
Entry is allowed for one team at a time.
Indirect lighting creates
a mystical feel.
On our Seongsu-dong outing,

In Busan’s Nampo-dong,
at the Mua

I spent years of my youth.
It reminded me of those times,
so I called my best friend
who accompanied me then,
after I got home.
The environment here
is even better than Mua,
and the audio equipment
is also excellent.
I told her we should definitely go together next time.

Seongsu Yul Cafe…
It’s located about
a 7 to 10-minute walk
from the main street.
It was a wonderful cafe
that I would recommend
to friends and acquaintances.
