This gourmet tour began on the first day in Ulsan with a visit to the famous secret cafe ‘Miji’ (미지의). After enjoying delicious drinks and desserts while strolling through the beautiful garden, we had a hearty dinner at ‘Jinmi Bulgogi’ (진미불고기), featured on “Baekban 기행.” On the second day, we moved to Busan, enjoyed various attractions at the complex cultural space F1963, and the experience of tasting Michelin-starred pork soup at ‘Anmok’ (안목) after a 3-hour wait was unforgettable. After a quick bite at my favorite tteokbokki place, ‘Darijip’ (다리집), we added to the joy of our bakery tour by visiting famous bakeries in Busan’s Jeonridan-gil (Jeonridan-gil), ‘Baguette Jojakso’ (바게트제작소) and ‘Puff Bakery’ (퍼프베이커리). In the evening, we reached the pinnacle of our culinary journey with crispy fried eggplant and shrimp bao at the Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant ‘Bao House’ (바오하우스).
On the third day, we headed to Gyeongju’s Yangnam-myeon (Yangnam-myeon) and had a leisurely breakfast at ‘Sopung Gada Yangnam Branch’ (소풍가다 양남본점), famous for its kaimak brunch. With an outdoor sand playground and a pink muhly photo zone, it’s also recommended for families with children. Afterward, we moved to Pohang, admired the Grave Rock Park (Grave Rock Park) at Igari Anchor Observatory (Igari Anchor Observatory), and took wonderful photos at ‘Cafe Photopia’ (카페 포토피아), a 4-story building studio with an exotic atmosphere. For lunch, we visited ‘Sae Pohang Mulhoe Jip’ (새포항물회집), known for its excellent gochujang bibim mulhoe (spicy raw fish salad) without broth. On the last day of the trip, it rained heavily, so we couldn’t do much, but we finished the trip with sea cucumber kalguksu (noodle soup) and sea cucumber-seaweed rice rolls at our regular spot, ‘Maennal Guksu Myeongchon Branch’ (맨날국수 Myeongchon).
