Review of ‘Saengmacha Suwon Station Branch’, a Pub Near Suwon Station
Located near Suwon Station, Saengmacha Suwon Station Branch (Gyeonggi Province Suwon Paldal-gu Hyanggyo-ro 16-1) attracts many visitors with its innovative prices. It is open from 5 PM to 3 AM on weekdays and from 3 PM to 3 AM on weekends, with the last order at 2 AM. (Inquiries: 031-242-3744)
Although it was famous for its long waiting lines when it first opened, Saengmacha Suwon Station Branch which I visited after some time, had many tables spread across its spacious interior from the first floor to the basement. However, the space between tables might feel a bit narrow.

Easy Ordering via QR Code
At Saengmacha Suwon Station Branch, you order directly through a QR code after looking at the menu. Among the various options, the ‘Tebanaika’, a fried chicken wing dish, was particularly unique. It’s a menu item that chicken wing lovers can look forward to.

Convenient Restroom Location and Free Water
A significant advantage was being able to use the restroom inside the establishment while waiting for our food. The location of the restroom is an important factor in a pub, and Saengmacha Suwon Station Branch scored well in this regard.
While bottled water is paid (1,000 won), you can get it for free by using the water dispenser, so I got some myself.

The Signature Dish ‘Tebanaika’ and Other Appetizers
Since I had a filling meal for my first round, I ordered Mochiri Tofu for the first dish. It had a wonderfully chewy and savory taste.
Saengmacha’s signature cabbage salad was so delicious that I refilled it multiple times and was very satisfied. This salad alone was enough to be a great accompaniment to drinks.

The main dish, Tebanaika, comes in three flavors: original fried, spicy, and pepper. (Spicy and pepper flavors cost an additional 500 won). After trying various flavors, the spicy version was quite intense, and the pepper flavor was highly recommended for those who enjoy pepper. While other appetizers were average, the Tebanaika, a fried chicken wing dish, was definitely delicious.
Initially, I was drawn by the price of 900 won per piece, but I was slightly disappointed by the minimum order quantity. However, the taste was so good that it disappeared quickly, making it forgivable. I would revisit, but it will likely be remembered as a pub I’d think of when I have nowhere else specific to go.
