‘Maeuri Geumgok Branch’ is a restaurant specializing in spicy galbi-jjim located near Homeplus Seosuwon Branch. At the time of our visit, it was listed as ‘Yangpun Galbi-jjim Maeuri Gwonseon Branch’ on Kakao Map, but it is currently operating as ‘Maeuri Geumgok Branch’. The interior has about 8 tables, allowing for a comfortable dining experience.
After much deliberation over the menu, we ordered the basic Yangpun Galbi-jjim for 3 people. We chose glass noodles as an add-on, and the basic side dishes included radish kimchi and bean sprouts. The bean sprouts are also delicious when added to the galbi-jjim.
The main dish, Yangpun Galbi-jjim, was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The meat was tender and easily pulled off the bone, and the sauce was not overly stimulating but deliciously spicy, making it a perfect match for rice. The included rice balls and the moist, soft steamed egg further enhanced the flavor of the galbi-jjim.
The fried rice we tried on a subsequent visit was also impressive. Personally, I found it even tastier than other spicy galbi-jjim restaurants I had visited before. We are very happy to have discovered such a great restaurant in the neighborhood.
