The Chic Charm of Jeju Andeok-myeon, a Visit Review of Cafe Muroi
On the first day of our 2-night, 3-day trip to Jeju, we visited the cafe Muroi, located in Andeok-myeon. After exploring Bonte Museum, Dalpengi Restaurant, and Bangju Church, we came here to enjoy delicious coffee and desserts. We were curious about this place, which is often featured on Instagram Reels, and its exterior, with its all-black color scheme, exuded a chic atmosphere that immediately caught our eye.

Muroi, named after the meaning ‘a phenomenon of very thick or long-lasting fog,’ is said to offer the best desserts that capture the essence of Jeju. It opens at 10:30 AM. Many netizens praised the Udo Peanut Red Bean Bread as particularly delicious, but unfortunately, it was already sold out by the time of our visit, so we couldn’t try it.

Diverse Desserts and Signature Menu
The cafe’s interior showcase was filled with mouth-watering desserts. Among them, the signature menu item, Onggi Tiramisu, is reportedly very popular among many customers. They also offered a variety of sandwiches and drinks.

Attractive Photo Zones and Classic Interior
Inside the cafe, there was a photo zone decorated with artificial cherry blossoms, making it a great spot for taking pictures. Additionally, the display using traditional Korean jars (onggi) added a classic touch.

Delicious Bread and Coffee, and Garden Views
After placing our order, we walked down a long hallway to our seats. We ordered an Americano, a decaf latte, Udo peanut salt bread, and original salt bread. The bread was delicious, reflecting the use of good ingredients, and the salt bread with Udo peanuts was especially excellent with its nutty flavor. The coffee also had a good body and fresh beans, which was satisfying.

The cafe interior is divided into two halls, offering views of the garden. The tables are arranged in a line, leading us to our seats after passing through the long hallway. Although the garden looked a bit plain as the flowers hadn’t bloomed yet during our visit, we expect it to offer a more vibrant green view after April.

A Chic Cafe Recommended When Visiting Andeok-myeon in Jeju
Overall, Cafe Muroi had a chic charm with its consistent black theme both inside and out. Both the coffee and bakery items were delicious. It’s said that locals in Jeju visit it intentionally on rainy days, highlighting its captivating appeal. We highly recommend stopping by if you are visiting the vicinity of Andeok-myeon in Jeju.
