I was expecting much better weather than yesterday, but it poured down with heavy rain from the morning. ㅠㅠ
My original plan was to go for a morning swim at the resort pool, but the sudden change in weather ruined all my plans.
It rained so heavily that water was leaking from the lobby ceiling, and the outside was completely flooded. ㄷㄷ
Breakfast on the last day was almost always the same menu. I savored it slowly, hoping the rain would stop, but there was no sign of it letting up. Eventually, I gave up on the morning swim, rested in my room for a while, and decided to get a massage in the morning.
I booked Whale Spa again for the last day, checked out in advance, and stored my luggage at the resort.
I found out the massage therapist’s name from the form I filled out before and after the massage. Fortunately, the therapist I had on the third day was available, and I received a massage from her. It seemed her name was ‘my’. I only later realized that you can request a specific therapist if you have one in mind.

After the massage, I went to Binmec Hospital Phu Quoc for a COVID rapid antigen test. The package originally included a free test, but the designated hospital (SOS Hospital) was too far from my accommodation, making it a waste of time. Thanks to the owner of Whale Spa, I was able to get tested at a nearby hospital for a low price. (About a 3-minute ride by tuk-tuk from Whale Spa)
After waiting for about 20 minutes in the waiting room at Binmec Hospital Phu Quoc, I had the test, and it took about an hour in total to receive the results. The tuk-tuk driver waited for me on the way back, which was convenient.
My afternoon plan was to visit a pepper farm, but I was hungry, so I looked around the resort area. Fortunately, the rain had almost stopped, so I could walk around without an umbrella. I was determined to try Banh Mi before leaving, but there were very few places open during the day. I finally found one and ordered, but I was disappointed because the actual dish looked nothing like the menu photo. The taste was also a bit salty, which was a shame.
I took a taxi to the pepper farm. I went to the closest one to Vinpearl, and they said it only operates until 5 PM.

The pepper farm cafe also sold various drinks.
They sold various souvenirs such as pepper, honey, and salt. The mango dipped in spices and the tea with honey and pepper that the staff offered for tasting were unique and delicious.
I took a free tour of the pepper farm wearing a hat, and the staff was very friendly. I picked and ate pepper berries myself and learned about the cultivation methods and differences between black, white, and red pepper. The red pepper tasted sweet, which was surprising. However, the ground was not good due to the rain, and I was a little scared by the large caterpillars.
Finally, I took a picture with the staff, and their photography skills were top-notch. After souvenir shopping, I tasted the complimentary tea and bananas.
They were also raising chickens at the pepper farm.
After shopping, I had dinner at the resort restaurant. The resort food was the most delicious, and the prices were also quite reasonable.
I sat by the window, enjoyed the scenery, and ordered beer, seafood, pasta, and soup. The food took a little while to arrive, but the taste exceeded my expectations. The shrimp dish was especially delicious, and since the portion was not enough, I ordered stir-fried noodles as an additional dish.
The stir-fried noodles were too large a portion, so I left some, but the taste was decent.

After dinner, I had some time left, so I took a night tour of Grand World. The sculpture garden lit up at night was truly beautiful. It was good for taking pictures at night, but I regretted not wearing comfortable pants.

I also stopped by the Teddy Bear Museum, which I saw yesterday. I was disappointed that they only had children’s pajamas, but there were many cute dolls.
The coconut ice cream was delicious even for me, who dislikes nuts. The coconut drink was ordinary, but the ice cream was the best.
There were many Banh Mi shops open at night, but I couldn’t eat because I had overeaten at the resort.
While looking around the shops, I was surprised by a dog. My surprised voice was recorded in the video.
I took the shuttle bus back to my accommodation at the scheduled time. Since there weren’t many people coming until 9 o’clock, I figured it would be okay to leave a little later than the scheduled departure time.
I arrived at the airport by shuttle bus and slept soundly for an hour. I had been fighting off sleep all day to sleep on the early morning flight.
The airport check-in queue was long, but I passed through after waiting for about 40 minutes. I took a short break while taking pictures of the sky from the plane.
When I arrived in Korea, I ate Sundubu Jjigae, and it was really delicious. This overseas trip made me realize the need to study English and the desire to travel after quitting my job. This post is for record-keeping, and I will answer any questions in the comments.
