Skip to content In July 2026, I finally decided to post about my fourth visit to the cafe Sinbong-dong in Yongin, Majimou. This place boasts the most exotic atmosphere in the Yongin area and is a hot spot perfect for taking life-affirming photos. It’s so popular that parking and securing a table can be difficult on weekends, so if you prefer a relaxed visit, I recommend coming on a weekday.
Majimou opens at 9 AM, and brunch is available from 9:30 AM. It’s a complex space combining a cafe and woodworking, with the concept of ‘CAFE-WOODWORKS,’ offering a special experience where people and space blend beyond simple relaxation.
The cafe starts from the B1 floor. Valet parking is available at the entrance for 2,000 won. Free parking is available if you visit early and park yourself. Passing through the workshop and taking the elevator to the 1st floor, you’ll see an exotic building unfolding before your eyes, as if you’ve arrived in Monaco. [Cafe 1st Floor]
The 1st floor is the ordering area, where you can find a variety of cakes and pastries. The cake selection changes slightly with each visit, and the types of pastries also vary depending on the season or time.
Among the drink menu, the ‘Mango Bingsu’ is said to be the most popular during the summer season. On the 2nd floor, you can enjoy the views of the cafe’s interior and outdoor spaces, with the outdoor area evoking a glamping feel.

Ascending to the 2nd floor via the stairs, you’ll find modern wooden tables. However, the chairs are a bit hard, and you might have to come back down if it’s full. There are also tables on the 2nd floor of the woodworking studio building, accessible by the stairs or elevator shown in the photos.
[Annex]
The annex has the coziest, living-room-like atmosphere, making it a good spot to settle in when visiting with a group. On a recent visit, I enjoyed coffee, milk tea, and egg tarts here. The egg tarts were sweet but delicious, with a wonderfully moist interior and a crispy exterior.
On my first visit, I sat at the bar-style counter opposite the entrance. My husband praised the coffee’s rich, non-acidic bean flavor, and I always enjoy the milk tea here. I found the iced milk tea in a bottle to be even tastier than the hot milk tea. It’s also fun to play a treasure hunt, searching for hidden photo spots throughout the cafe.
Moving via the outdoor stairs leads to various spaces. In winter, there was a mini bonfire, but now it’s adorned with summer flowers, offering a beautiful landscape.
[Woodworking Studio 2nd Floor]
This is what the 2nd floor of the woodworking studio looked like during my winter visit. It features ondol-style tables, providing comfort for those who prefer sitting on the floor. Other rooms have long tables that can accommodate 10-12 people.
[B1 Floor Woodworking Studio Inner Room]
The inner room of the B1 floor woodworking studio is currently divided by fabric panels, and all tables are occupied. It appears they’ve increased the number of tables due to the high number of visitors.
[B1 Floor Exhibition]
The B1 floor exhibition space is currently operating as a woodworking goods shop. My husband and I revisited in June and took commemorative photos here. I was particularly amazed when I used AI to upscale one photo to high definition, making it look like a magazine cover. It truly makes you realize the incredible advancements of our times through photos and videos.
If you want to take life-affirming photos in a wonderful space, I highly recommend visiting Majimou at Sinbong-dong in Yongin on a weekday.
