This is a place that satisfies the feeling of finally discovering a life-changing dakbal restaurant after searching for a long time. The soft steamed egg, the soup dakbal with well-absorbed seasoning, and the unexpectedly delicious garlic fried chicken are particularly impressive. In addition to dakbal, they offer a variety of other menus, making it a great place to visit with a group.

After a period of wandering as a “dakbal nomad” due to the closure of my long-time favorite dakbal restaurant, I have finally discovered a new sanctuary called Aсси Dakbal. Although it’s a chain, it wasn’t near my neighborhood, so I never had the chance to visit. This time, I visited to confirm its reputation firsthand. It’s located close to Sanghyeon Station and is even more appealing with its outdoor seating.
The steamed egg here was incredibly soft and moist, disappearing in an instant. The main dish, boneless soup dakbal, is generously served with bean sprouts, sliced green onions, and quail eggs. It also comes with a side of mentaiko mayo sauce and perilla leaves, perfect for pairing. The jumeokbap (rice balls) were also beyond ordinary, harmonizing wonderfully with the dakbal.
Despite being a dakbal restaurant, the garlic fried chicken tasted similar to honey콤보 (honey combo), making it a highly recommended menu item for those who can’t handle spicy food well. I also tried the grilled boneless dakbal, which was a bit spicier than the soup dakbal. However, the cartilage dakbal was a bit disappointing with its strong seasoning, but overall, the dakbal was so outstanding that I have a high intention of revisiting.
They also sell organic free-range eggs, which is good to know. I recognize Aсси Dakbal as the top-tier dakbal restaurant in Sanghyeon Station, and I plan to visit frequently in the future.
