Seo Suwon Restaurant, Joseon Budumak Suwon Homasil: Falling for the Charm of Kkoduksal
Gyeonggi Province Suwon Gwonseon-gu When the dry weather and fine dust make your throat scratchy, oily food naturally comes to mind. A great place to find this is Joseon Budumak Suwon Homasil. Located at 361 Seo Suwon-ro, Units 104 and 105, this establishment is open daily from 11 AM to 11 PM. For inquiries, please call 0507-1316-3131.
Homaesil-dong Known as a great place to eat in Seo Suwon, Joseon Budumak Suwon Homasil was already bustling with customers even when visited around 8 PM. It seemed particularly popular as a company dinner spot for nearby office workers, and the waiting area by the entrance was a testament to its high popularity.

Cozy, Tavern-like Interior and Convenient Ordering System
Upon entering the restaurant, the unique, tiled roof-shaped interior caught my eye. It gave the feeling of stepping into an old tavern, creating a cozy atmosphere. Ordering is made easy with a tablet PC, and there’s an ongoing event offering two free drinks or steamed eggs for writing a Naver receipt review.
Another charm of Joseon Budumak Suwon Homasil is its variety of spices. A total of six dipping sauces are available, including garlic-onion salt, garlic-pepper salt, spicy sea salt, sun-dried salt, soybean powder, and curry powder, allowing you to enjoy the meat according to your preference.

Generous Side Dishes and Distinctive Meat Menu
The neatly arranged set of side dishes was also impressive. When ordering the 2-person set, a soybean paste stew and steamed eggs are provided, along with a generous portion of accompaniments that create a perfect harmony with the meat, such as shredded green onions, pickled perilla leaves, pickled onions, and pickled radish wraps. This is a composition worthy of being recognized as a great restaurant in Seo Suwon.

The 2-person set includes pork belly, pork neck, and the special kkoduksal. As the name suggests, kkoduksal has a wonderfully chewy and firm texture, and the pork belly, boasting the ultimate in tenderness, offers a taste so outstanding it’s hard to believe it’s pork.

Tender Steamed Eggs and Delicious Bibim Naengmyeon
The accompanying soybean paste stew and steamed eggs were also excellent. In particular, the fluffy, moisture-filled steamed eggs were as soft as a baby’s bottom, a taste that everyone, young and old, would love.
The meal concluded with bibim naengmyeon. Although I didn’t have time to take a picture in my haste, it tasted better than expected, even for a cold noodle dish at a barbecue restaurant. Joseon Budumak Suwon Homasil, with its perfect side dishes, made me finish the entire bowl despite being full.

Account transfers are also possible, so you can dine with peace of mind even if you forget your wallet. Additionally, a dessert ice cream machine is available, further enhancing the satisfaction of the meal. I highly recommend Joseon Budumak Suwon Homasil for its delicious meat, excellent service, and the unforgettable charm of its kkoduksal.
