Sodamsongha & The 9 Peak: A Special Experience Enjoying Beef Ribs and Coffee in One Place
춘천 Gangwon Province 춘천 Dongmyeon 춘천 Dongmyeon 춘천 Located in Gangwon Province 춘천 City, **Sodamsongha & The 9 Peak** is a charming place that operates both a delicious beef rib restaurant and a cafe. This place offers visitors a special experience, going beyond just a meal to allow them to enjoy coffee and desserts in a comfortable atmosphere. The address is 춘천 City Dongmyeon 춘천 Sunhwan-ro 868, and it is open daily from 11 AM to 10 PM (the cafe until 12 AM). It’s also good to note that there is no break time on weekends.
While Sodamsongha & The 9 Peak has several branches, this particular location stands out because it also operates a cafe. Even though it was an off-peak time during our visit, it was crowded with customers, and we were impressed by the friendly service, such as being offered warm water while we waited. On nice weather days, you can also spend your time leisurely on the outdoor terrace space.
Upon entering, the white marble tables are impressive, and ordering is easy with the tablets provided at each table. Surprisingly, both the dining and cafe menus can be ordered through the same tablet, adding to the convenience.
On this day, we ordered 1kg of beef ribs, and we were surprised by the generous, mountain-like portion of meat served. Among the side dishes provided, the refreshing and tangy cold muk soup was particularly delicious. The muk soup served to whet the appetite and effectively cut through the richness of the meat.
The Doenjang Somyeon (soybean paste noodle soup) we ordered additionally was initially a bit disappointing as the noodles hadn’t absorbed the soybean paste flavor well. However, as time passed, the noodles began to absorb the broth, developing a deep flavor. (You can also refer to our past post about ‘Migadeuk’, a great place for Doenjang Somyeon.)
The well-grilled beef ribs offered a fantastic taste that melted softly in the mouth. It’s important to control the grilling of beef, and it’s best eaten when it’s still slightly rare. Finally, the Bibim Naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles) we ordered was also better than expected. We were in too much of a hurry to mix and eat it, so we didn’t take a photo of it initially, but its taste is unforgettable.
춘천 Sodamsongha & The 9 Peak has a spacious interior and various seating options, making it suitable for family visits or group gatherings. It’s an ideal place for the whole family to spend time comfortably and leisurely, as you can take care of dining, coffee, and desserts all in one location.
