Anmok Beach was selected for the 2024 Michelin Guide, and even though I booked through Catchtable while in F1963 Busan, I experienced an unprecedented 3-hour wait. While waiting, I had a light meal of tteokbokki and squid tempura at Darizip, which is a 5-minute walk away.

Anmok Beach, which proposes Busan’s signature dish, pig soup rice, in a new way, not only changes the form but also delivers a taste that makes you nod in agreement. Within the unique flavor of pig soup rice, there is a subtle taste reminiscent of other Korean soups, and while clearly differentiating itself from numerous famous pig soup rice restaurants in Busan, it also shows the diverse possibilities of the dish.

The restaurant, with its U-shaped bar seating, can accommodate about 15 people, and its clean interior and systematic customer service are impressive. Orders are placed through a kiosk, and we ordered the pig soup rice and pig ramen. Basic side dishes include garlic, green onion kimchi, and radish/cabbage kimchi, and side dish refills are free.

In particular, the pig ramen, with its visual reminiscent of tonkotsu ramen and the chewy texture of house-made noodles, is clean and savory without any gamey smell, deserving of praise as the No. 1 pig soup rice. Anmok Beach, which provided a highly satisfying experience, making us 100% willing to revisit despite the long wait, is a special restaurant that is a must-visit during your Busan trip.
